Thiruvananthapuram RTO

Thiruvananthapuram RTO was established for the purpose of efficiently carrying out the provisions laid under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. The RTO is also responsible for the development and changes in the Road Transport Technology, the pattern of passenger and freight movements, development of road networks in the state and particularly the improved techniques in the motor vehicles management. The Thiruvananthapuram RTO comes under Motor Vehicles Department of Kerala and is headed by the Transport Commissioner.

A vehicle insurance policy is mandatory for every vehicle registered at Thiruvananthapuram RTO as per The Motor Vehicle Act, 1988.
